Signs of pneumonia as fever
Typical pneumonia usually leads to the production of yellow or brown sputum when coughing. Signs of pneumonia include cough, chest pain, fever, and difficulty breathing. Adenovirus and parainfluenza viral pneumonias are often accompanied by cold symptoms such as runny nose andpinkeye (conjunctivitis). Chest pain may develop if the outer aspects of the lung close to the pleura are involved in the infection.
People with HIVinfection, AIDS, or people who have had organ transplants and are taking medicines that lower their resistance to infection are also at high risk of getting this disease. Many of the defenses are compromised in the fetus and newborn infant, resulting in more frequent breaches and consequent disruption of normal lung structure and function. Some elderly people may be confused, lethargic, and show general deterioration.
